We’re hiring: Senior Bookkeeper
Remote | US-Based Only
Two part-time positions or one full-time position available

We’re looking for a strong, experienced bookkeeper to join our growing virtual firm.

This role is for someone who knows QuickBooks Online inside and out, can work through real bookkeeping challenges without constant oversight, and takes genuine pride in producing accurate, timely financials.

Our client base is made up primarily of law firms, along with businesses in other industries. That means this role is best suited for someone who is sharp, resourceful, detail-oriented, and confident handling messy books, cleanups, payroll issues, and complex client situations with professionalism and care.

This is not a micromanaged role. We are looking for a responsible adult who can manage their work, think critically, find answers, and communicate well with clients and team members.

That said, this is not a solo journey. You’ll have access to Looms, software tools, documented instructions, and owner support whenever needed. We value independence, but we also believe strong people use good resources and ask smart questions.

We are also a no-judgment zone. Our clients come to us for help, guidance, and clarity, not attitude. We want someone who genuinely cares, treats people with respect, and wants to produce work they can stand behind.
We are solution-focused people. We do not dwell on the negativity of problems. We dig in, find answers, and get to work. We enjoy the challenge of making a problem go away and then daring the next one to show its face. If that mindset energizes you, you’ll probably fit in well here.

No fake bull. No flippant energy. Just honest communication, solid work, and real care for the client.

What you’ll be doing:
-
Full-charge bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
-
Client onboarding and cleanup
-
Managing 10+ clients per month
-
Historical cleanup and balance sheet issue resolution
-
Reviewing and explaining financials to clients
-
Payroll processing and troubleshooting
-
Reconciling tax schedules to QBO
-
Cross-checking reports across platforms
-
Client communication by email and portal
-
Law firm bookkeeping, including IOLTA/trust reconciliations
What we need:
-
5+ years of daily QuickBooks Online experience
-
Senior-level, full-cycle bookkeeping experience
-
Strong payroll troubleshooting experience
-
Strong balance sheet knowledge
-
Clear, professional, compassionate communication
-
Ability to self-manage deadlines and priorities
-
Confidence working without constant oversight
-
IOLTA/trust accounting experience is a big plus
-
QBO Certification preferred
Schedule:
-
After the first 60 days, you can make your own schedule. You’ll need availability for 2 hours between 10 AM–6 PM CST, two days per week for team and client meetings.
-
This is a long-term team role, not a contractor position.
-
If you want to do meaningful work, help good people, solve problems, and be part of a firm that values both excellence and humanity, we’d love to hear from you.

Please apply only if you truly meet the experience requirements.
