Full-Charge Senior Bookkeeper (Remote - US Based Only)

Position Summary

You will provide bookkeeping services to a number of our virtual clients including:

  • The typical bookkeeping stuff;

  • Thorough understanding of the balance sheet and P&L and ability to explain/review with clients;

  • Ability to self start, manage workflow efficiently and prioritize;

  • Law firms - Iolta and Trust Liability reconciliations and verifying to 3rd party software reports;

  • Payroll processing and reporting;

  • Managing MULTIPLE (minimum 15 per month) direct customer/client relationships;

  • Reconciling Accounts Receivable;

  • Syncing data across multiple software applications to ensure accuracy;

  • Reviewing taxes and various tax schedules and matching to QBO records;

You MUST have extensive knowledge and proficiency on all of the above items with the exception of Iolta/Trust experience.  Must reside in US.

Expertise with QuickBooks Online (minimum 5 years daily usage) is REQUIRED and Certification in QuickBooks Online is preferred. 

Knowledge of Law Firm Iolta/Trust Accounting is a BIG PLUS!

Employment Type  -  30 day Contract Trial Period, Then Full Time - 35-40 hrs/week, W2 employee

4+ years as a thorough and experienced full charge bookkeeper for multiple clients simultaneously Required
Ability to read a Schedule C and 1120 Required
Expertise with QuickBooks Online Required
Strong ability and desire to be a team player and collaborate Required
Ability to stay on task and prioritize deadlines while working remotely Required
Extreme organization and strong decision-making skills Required
Fast learner and open to new ideas Required
Clear, concise, and professional communication skills through all mediums: video conference, email, phone, and text Required

Remote Requirements

Quiet/dedicated space in the home for an office Required
Telephone Required
Your own working computer that complies with industry standards, high-speed internet, and dual monitors Required
A webcam and audio for clear communication. MS Teams and Zoom meetings, including screen share, will be required Required
You must be able to sit (or use a standing workstation) and work at a computer for 8 hours a day (flexible hours) and sometimes longer as may be required. You must also be able to engage in data entry and typing information into computer files and logs Required

It's expected that you have flexibility during business hours to meet and collaborate with team members and to be able to meet with clients.  REQUIRED - First 90 days - must be available and working - Mon-Fri - 10am-3pm CST.

Compensation

As a small business growing and being blessed with new business exponentially in the past 18 months, we are working to create a compensation package with benefits. 

- Hourly pay is between $26 - $30/hr based on experience and the ability to manage workload with little or no need for internal revisions or errors.
